Magnetic Docking of Charging cable into the socket
The idea is to eliminate the need to manual plug in to a charging point while not losing efficiency
Description
While wireless charging provide great ease of use, its installation cost is high and the efficiency of charging is worse, which increases running cost, and a lot of energy is wasted. So my aim is to increase the efficiency while providing the same user experience and there is no efficient way than direct power transfer through a wire. So my idea is to provide a socket underneath the car with electromagnet around it, and the parking lot is powered by underground power grid with an outlet at each parking space on the ground, the outlet has magnetic material around it, so when car is aligned with outlet and the electromagnet in the car is switched ON the cable from the ground automatically attaches to the socket in the car(without manually touching it), and thats it your car is connected to power supply and charging can be monitored over internet/Mobile App. This way no energy is lost in power transfer and the user experience is improved. This technology can be used along with my other idea, the underground power grid with a common control unit which is energized by peizoelectric mats, this way the user experience is greatly improved while still keeping the installing cost and maintenance cost at minimum.
